Entry Requirements There are no mandatory qualification entry requirements but it is strongly recommended learners have undertaken the NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety. The syllabus assumes that learners will have this level of prior learning. It is important that learners have a suitable standard of English language in order to understand and articulate the concepts contained in the syllabus. NEBOSH recommends that learners undertaking this qualification should reach a minimum standard of English equivalent to an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 7.0 or higher in IELTS tests. |

The NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma for Occupational Health and Safety Management Professionals, delivered by SSTC in partnership with Astutis, is a highly respected qualification in health and safety. It's an advanced course that provides participants with a deep understanding of managing safety and health at work. The curriculum was updated in May 2023 to stay current.
The course has three parts. The first part covers important laws related to safety and health. The second part focuses on dangerous substances and how to handle them safely. The third part deals with equipment safety and general workplace safety, teaching participants to spot and deal with potential dangers.
For assessment, participants complete a workplace assignment and two case studies. These practical tasks allow them to apply what they've learned and demonstrate their ability to manage safety and health risks.

The NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma takes a practical approach to learning and is assessed entirely through practical work and scenario-based questions.
DI1 is assessed with a practical assignment split into 2 Papers. The second paper combines the following:
You will have 2-4 weeks to complete your assessments and submit your work to the NEBOSH online portal. You should spend around 40 hours on your DI1 assignment and 20 hours each on your DI2 and DI3 assignments.

- Scenario based questions
- Work based activities
- Reflective statements
- A short research project
You will have 2-4 weeks to complete your assessments and submit your work to the NEBOSH online portal. You should spend around 40 hours on your DI1 assignment and 20 hours each on your DI2 and DI3 assignments.
Assessment Results
You will receive your results 50 working days after the submission date for your assessment. A unit certificate will be issued 20 working days after the notification date for each successful unit.
Once you have passed all three unit assessments (DI1/DI2/DI3) your combined percentage mark will give your overall grade for the qualification (Distinction/Credit/Pass).
Distinction 226 or higher
Credit 196 – 225
Pass 150 – 195
A qualification parchment will be issued 20 working days after the results notification date for the third successful unit.
